Break the Silence: Use Your Voice
The month of October is rapidly approaching, and we at the Children’s Aid Society of Ottawa are gearing up to launch our upcoming child abuse and neglect prevention campaign.
We would like to invite you, your students and staff to join the rest of the community by participating in the annual “Break the Silence: Use Your Voice” awareness campaign, marked by ‘Dress Purple Day’ on Oct. 16, 2015. The campaign’s main goal is to keep children and youth safe, by increasing public knowledge of child abuse and neglect and the steps to take to eradicate it.
To facilitate your involvement in this Eastern Zone Children’s Aid Societies initiative, you can order your free “Break the Silence” t-shirts on this site at your earliest convenience, and have them shipped to your school’s location free of charge. We encourage you to order t-shirts for all staff members, as well as students. Please note that we have assigned a set limit of t-shirts for each participating establishment.
By partnering with us, you are contributing to the protection of children and youth within our community, as well as on a provincial scale. Together, we can break the silence against child abuse and neglect.
