CAFO - 20th Anniversary Trivia Tees!
This year marks the 20th World Trivia Night and to commemorate the event, limited edition t-shirts are being sold, with all proceeds going to the Children's Aid Foundation of Ottawa (CAFO).
The history of World Trivia Night began with the Kiwanis Club of Orleans in the early 1990’s. Seeing its potential early on, the Kiwanis Club of Orleans offered to partner with CAFO in 1994 to expand World Trivia Night and satisfy the demand that the city had for trivia.
That partnership has been a success, and today World Trivia Night attracts 1,500 to 2,000 people; the $40,000-plus raised annually also makes it CAFO’s largest fundraising event.
The funds raised by this event, and all other initiatives held by the Foundation, help support education and life-enriching programs that inspire and empower children and young adults in the care of the Children’s Aid Society of Ottawa.
CAFO programs include the Dare to Dream Bursary Program, Camp for Kids, Scotia Capital Stay in School Program and the Cookie Jar Fund which help pay for sports, recreational and cultural activities as well as basic necessities.
This year’s event is taking place on Friday, November 21 (7:00 to 10:00 pm) at the EY Centre (near the airport).
Although the event is 75% sold out, you can still register your team of 10 at www.worldtrivianight.com.
