Canadian Red Cross Day of Pink - Schools
On April 8, 2015, join with thousands of others across Manitoba by standing for respect and helping put a stop to bullying by taking part in the Canadian Red Cross Day of Pink.
Day of Pink began when two Nova Scotia high school students took a stand against bullying and asked all of their peers to wear pink to school after a male classmate had been bullied for wearing a pink shirt.
In honour of the original Day of Pink, the Canadian Red Cross Day of Pink brings together schools, workplaces and communities throughout Manitoba to wear the shirt and stand together against bullying.
To make sure your school is part of the Day of Pink movement, you can place the entire T-shirt order for your school right here.
This year, the fourth Canadian Red Cross Day of Pink in Manitoba, will feature a pink T-shirt chosen by the public. You can see the winning T-shirt design on this page. More than 1,300 Manitobans voted on the three design options and selected this version.
If you have not already registered your school, please go to www.redcross.ca/PinkMB after completing your order form. Once registered, schools will get access to the School Resource Guide. The guide has ideas for promoting Day of Pink, including fundraisers and information on taking part on April 8, 2015.
All proceeds go to the Canadian Red Cross to support bullying prevention education in Manitoba. The deadline for ordering official Red Cross Day of Pink T-shirts is February 13, 2015
All school orders will be invoiced by the Canadian Red Cross at a cost of $5.00 per shirt. Your payment is not due here. While it will say when you complete your order that your cost is $0.00, this total only reflects the site transaction. THE CANADIAN RED CROSS WILL INVOICE YOU THE PROPER AMOUNT AFTER WE RECEIVE YOUR ORDER.
