Kili Climb for Kids - Van De Wiel Family
Jambo. Our family is climbing Kilimanjaro in aid of the Tim Horton Children's Foundation. The Foundation aims to help kids discover their best by providing experiences that allow them to try new adventures while developing life long leadership skills. Our Kili climb will be an incredible adventure that will allow us to challenge ourselves while raising money for a favourite charity. Our climb will take place February, 2017 and our goal is to raise at least $25,000 for this charity by this time. Hakuna Matata - no worries - is a commonly known swahili phrase made popular in the Lion King. This combined with the strength and luck of the elephant is meant to symbolize a peaceful yet challenging trek. By finding strength within ourselves we will have no worries completing this challenge together. The elephant is also fiercely maternal and puts family first. I think of special importance is the significance of giving back as a family during this charity challenge and every day, taking the time all along the way to be grateful we are able to do so. The happiest people on earth are those that give what they can to others. Hakuna Matata!
