Monkey Love by Phoebe Rose

Monkey Love by Phoebe Rose
Meet Phoebe Rose who along with her mom, Jenny, dad, Jonathan, and big sister Mae, have been battling a rare and difficult to cure form of infantile leukemia since October 2010 when Phoebe was just 9 weeks old.

When 6 months of chemotherapy at CHEO, followed by a bone marrow transplant and clinical trial at SickKids failed to cure her, Phoebe ran out of treatment options in Canada. Phoebe and her family left their home in Ottawa and traveled to St.Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee where Phoebe received an innovative second stem cell transplant, then following another relapse, they traveled to the Children's Hospital of Colorado for a clinical trial.

Today, Phoebe is four years old, she has been in and out of remission, and has suffered 4 relapses of her disease. Her family has tried all that they can to save her and today, hope rests in a third transplant at St.Jude that will use Phoebe's dad's stem cells and natural killer cells.

Phoebe is a hero and an inspiration.  She is a bright and shining light amidst the battle of her life with leukemia - she is full of joy and has a love for life that is truly remarkable. Each day with Phoebe is a gift.  You can read more about Phoebe in her mom's blog at www.phoeberoserocks.blogspot.com

Money raised from this campaign will go to directly to Phoebe Rose.   Neither of Phoebe's parents are currently working as they have had to travel for treatment. They have devoted themselves full time to their family and Phoebe's treatment and care.
