Toronto's 5th annual World Fiddle Day is gearing up for its largest gathering of bowed string instruments to date, with its usual focus of celebrating Canadian and Global traditions. The mission is to provide opportunities for string players of all backgrounds to come together, learn from some of the best and create magnificent music.
Each year there are special guest artists featured in workshop and concert, and the pièce de resistance led by fiddle fave Anne Lederman, the “Around-the-World Jam.” This is a must-experience-to-be-believed kind of happening, where tunes from Canadian folk traditions take their place alongside great music from around the globe.
